The Spring Tide Wheel serves as a tool for reading local tides and inspiring foreshore exploration. Participants will be guided in making and decorating their own wheel, which can be used to navigate the tidal beaches around Helston.
The workshop also includes an introduction to the Victorian craft of seaweed pressing, a process that reveals the hidden beauty of seaweeds. Attendees will learn to recognize, identify, and forage local seaweed species while discussing their cultural history and ecological significance.
A seaweed tasting featuring a favorite recipe will be provided.
