“HELSTON, A TOWN FOR PEOPLE?”

Helston, a town for people? Join us at the lecture by Henriette Vamberg, from Gehl People. How can we make better use of the space where we live and work? How can we enhance the quality of life and improve access to public spaces?

For Gehl People, design always begins with an analysis of how people use the space already. Henriette Vamberg will share the examples of Gehl’s principles in action, and talk about designing towns and cities for people. She will share her thoughts on the dynamic between public space and public life.

The exploration could help us understand how we can enhance our town – building upon Helston’s historic environment and local pride and make it a better place for all.

This event is organised by the Helston Place Shaping Board (HPSB) in association with Gehl People Architects and made possible by Cornwall Council’s Town Accelerator Fund.

The talk will be introduced by Asia Grzybowska, Chair of HPSB and Architect at Smallwood Architects.
