Join Lucy Grant and the CAST learning team in our ground floor studio for a drop-in shadow play workshop. Timed to coincide with the spring equinox, this hands-on workshop offers lots to learn, see and do.
Craft your own articulated spring-themed shadow puppets with guidance from Lucy and team. Then move into the perfect darkness of the black box screening space, where renowned local puppeteer and animator Mae Voogd will be on hand to help you explore techniques for performing with your creations.
Mae will be on hand in the black box screening space to explore techniques for projecting and performing with your own shadow puppets. See Shadow Puppet Play.
Mae Voogd’s shadow play was originally commissioned by CAST for a workshop for local primary schools.
